About FNAF 2
FNAF 2, short for Five Nights at Freddy's 2, is the second chapter of Scott Cawthon's legendary survival-horror series. Set in a freshly reopened Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in 1987, you take the night-shift security job nobody keeps for long. Your tools: a tablet of flickering cameras, a fading flashlight and a spare Freddy mask. Your goal: reach 6 AM.
Unlike the first game, there are no doors to close. The new “toy” animatronics — Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Mangle and Balloon Boy — wander freely, while the withered originals lurk right behind them. Survival is about information and timing: watch the right cameras, keep the music box wound, and drop the mask at the exact right moment.
How to play
Your shift runs 12 AM to 6 AM. Every night you juggle three jobs at once: watch the cameras, keep the music box wound, and defend your office.
- Cameras: raise the monitor to track animatronics, and keep returning to Cam 11 to wind the music box.
- Flashlight: flash the hallway and vents, and stall Withered Foxy before he lunges.
- Freddy mask: snap it on when an animatronic is in your office — useless on Foxy and the Marionette.
- Music box: never let the Cam 11 timer empty, or the Puppet escapes and ends your run.
Night-by-night survival
- Night 1: gentle intro. Keep the music box topped up and learn the mask timing.
- Night 2: Foxy and Mangle wake up. Flash the hall often.
- Night 3: Withered Foxy ramps up. Mangle's static means it's already in your office — stay calm.
- Night 4: focus narrows to Withered Foxy and the Marionette. Music-box discipline wins it.
- Night 5: the hardest. Everyone's aggressive — fast checks, constant winding, flawless mask timing.
Tips that keep you alive
- Wind the music box first, before anything else, whenever the timer runs low.
- Use audio cues — footsteps and static tell you who's close when the camera can't.
- Don't over-flash: Balloon Boy can kill your light, so save it for when it matters.

Put it on when an animatronic enters your office to make it leave. It works on most of them — but not Foxy or the Marionette.
